Programme Highlights
- Doctoral Stipend: €2,002 gross per month, awarded for up to 48 months
- Automatic consideration — one admission application covers financial aid (no separate scholarship form for most awards)
- Master's packages range from partial tuition relief to full tuition plus monthly living support
- Two admission rounds for bachelor's/master's (15 October and 2 February) and a single doctoral deadline (15 January)
Who Should Apply
Applicants to any CEU degree programme. Financial aid is awarded on academic merit and need as assessed in the admission file; doctoral offers come with the standard doctoral stipend package unless a different arrangement is stated.
Funding and Costs
Doctoral funding is the standout: €2,002 gross/month for four years is above most European PhD stipends after tax (Austrian income tax applies). Master's awards vary by department and year — the strongest files in Round 1 get the best packages, and later rounds award what remains.
Deadline and How to Apply
Submit your programme application (with transcripts, CV, statement of purpose, letters of recommendation) by your round's deadline — financial aid consideration is automatic. Doctoral applicants should also contact prospective supervisors before applying, as CEU admissions are supervisor-linked in many departments. Key deadline information: PhD 15 January 2027; bachelor's & master's Round 1 15 October 2026, Round 2 2 February 2027.
