Project Overview
About the Position
Lund University invites applications for a doctoral student in medical science with a orientation toward health sciences (halsovetenskap), within the PRO-COG project. The project studies how people with cognitive disabilities experience and navigate public environments, and how society can design environments and services that support participation for this group. The doctoral candidate will use qualitative methods - interviews, observations and co-creative approaches - to build knowledge that can inform health-care practice, urban planning and disability policy.
The position is a salaried four-year doctoral employment under the Swedish collective agreement, based in Lund University's health-sciences research environment. The doctoral candidate will receive training in qualitative research methodology, work closely with participants and user organisations, and contribute to publications and dissemination aimed at both academic and practice audiences. The research programme involves collaboration across disciplines including occupational therapy, public health and social sciences.
Candidate Profile
Applicants hold a master's degree in health sciences, public health or a related field, with training or demonstrated experience in qualitative methods. An interest in disability research, participation and accessibility is central, and experience of working with vulnerable groups is an advantage.
