About the Research Project
The Cava Lab is a multidisciplinary research environment focused on bacterial cell-wall biology and genetics. The postdoc project investigates genetic mechanisms controlling bacterial peptidoglycan formation, remodeling, recycling, and cell-wall homeostasis. The work aims to identify additional genes involved in cell-wall assembly and understand how they function as biological networks. Because cell-wall processes are proven targets for antibiotics, the research carries both fundamental and translational relevance for infectious-disease research.

- Tax-free scholarship stipend for the full two years (Swedish postdoc scholarships are tax-exempt as they are granted for educational purposes, not employment).
