Project Overview

About the Position

The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) recruits five CREATE PhD Programme Fellows, a Wellcome-funded global health doctoral training programme with studies beginning in September 2027. CREATE trains researchers to address major global health challenges through interdisciplinary research spanning epidemiology, infectious disease, immunology, health economics and health policy, with research projects designed jointly with partners in LMIC settings and a structured programme of training, fieldwork and secondment.

Fellows join LSHTM - one of the world's top institutions for public and global health research - and benefit from its supervision capacity across infectious-disease epidemiology, clinical trials, statistics and policy research. The cohort structure provides peer support, mentoring and cohort-wide training throughout the four years.
