Project Overview
About the Position
Maastricht University is recruiting a doctoral candidate (promovendus) for elderly care and innovation, embedded in the GOUD-poli, the university's outpatient innovation clinic for older patients. The GOUD-poli brings together geriatric medicine, allied health and social care around comprehensive assessments for community-dwelling older adults, and the PhD project studies how this innovation model works and how it can be scaled.
The candidate will evaluate the clinic's care model, study implementation outcomes and co-design improvements with professionals, patients and informal caregivers. The research combines implementation science with health-services evaluation, and the findings are intended to inform elderly-care innovation across the region. The appointment is a salaried four-year PhD track under the CAO-NU collective agreement.
Candidate Profile
Applicants hold a master's degree in health sciences, medicine, gerontology or a related field, with an interest in care for older adults and implementation research. Because the clinic operates in Dutch, professional working proficiency in Dutch is required for patient-facing research, while publications are prepared in English. Supervision spans geriatric medicine and health-services research at Maastricht University.
